Farm tours are available starting in June 2019. We will be hosting field trips for preschool thru 2nd graders as well as homeschool groups. All of our field trips for preschoolers thru 2nd graders align with state approved curriculum.
If you would like to do a farm tour with your organization or group of children, please contact us for more information. We can discuss a wide variety of farm topics such as wool processing, egg production, animal husbandry, gardening, and the fiber arts. We look forward to your visit!

We process all of our own Shetland fleeces for handspinners and fiber enthusiasts in our own fiber workshop. We sell raw fleeces, washed fleeces, picked fleeces, roving batts, and handspun yarn.
We are willing to do custom work for you as our time allows. Please feel free to contact us for processing rates and fleeces.
We always have farm fresh eggs for sale. Our chickens are pasture raised which means they are free to roam outside during the day and are locked up at night to keep them safe from predators. You can purchase our farm fresh eggs at our Farm Market.
Opening in May 2019! Our Farm Store is open during farm tours and seasonally. We sell our farm fresh eggs, meat, artisan crafts, raw fleeces, wool roving, baked goods and seasonal produce when available. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.
Westwind Farms is proud to be powered by solar. We have 32 solar panels on our barn which produces roughly 75% of our usage. We strongly believe in conserving energy and being as green as possible.
If you would like more information about our solar panels, please contact us. We would love to help your home become more environmentally friendly.
We maintain a small flock of Shetland sheep on our farm. Our Shetland sheep are sweet and friendly. We are proud to display a variety of colors and markings in our flock. Our children show Shetland sheep at the County, State and National levels.
Shetland sheep are a heritage breed and on the watch level for the National Livestock Conservancy. They are hardy foragers, have great mothering skills, and are very docile.
We raise Kiko goats and Kiko/Boer crosses here are Westwind Farms. Kiko goats are a relatively new goat species to the U.S.A. They are very hardy, parasite resistant and great foragers. They have been a great addition to the up and coming meat goat market.
New Zealand Rabbits
We raise a small colony of New Zealand rabbits. Our rabbits are free to roam their section of the chicken coop complete with a second story. Our rabbits are very social, friendly and love treats.
Our farm has several beautiful flower gardens to enjoy. We have a lot of butterflies and hummingbirds in the summertime.
Our family raises the majority of the meat we consume, we make our own bread, and enjoy seasonal produce from our farm. We love raising our own food and sharing it with others.
We raise turkeys for 4-H and we will have a small amount of turkey meat for sale in the late summer at our Farm Store.
We raise a few meat chickens each summer for our kids to show in 4-H. We will have a small amount of whole chickens available for purchase at our Farm Store in the late summer.
